‘Inanimate reason’ is made using a digital pinhole method to create environmental (sometimes self) portraits. It imagines a dialogue between Magritte’s non human figures, and Duchamp’s mannequin from the Exposition Internationale du Surréalisme, Paris, 1938.
The images are presented in a dark and playful way, and printed, aren’t always easy to look at due to the defocused effect of the process.
